Browsing this site
Microsoft Azure hosts this site and processes network requests, including technical information such as your IP address, to deliver and protect it. We have not added page-view analytics, ad pixels, tracking cookies or visitor profiles. We do not store browsing history or campaign tags in your browser. The optional interest action has the approximate-location processing described below; simply browsing does not trigger that lookup.
Launch updates
Our selected mailing-list provider is MailerLite. Signup asks only for your email and explicit permission to send occasional KiteAlertLight launch updates. Confirm your email before receiving updates. MailerLite also processes technical signup and confirmation records, such as network addresses, timestamps and form source, to operate and protect the list. The hosted form uses Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection, which processes technical browser and network information. Unsubscribe at any time. Launch updates carry no purchase commitment.
Ben Dewey manages the list. Subscriber access is restricted to the owner and any explicitly authorized marketing delegate. We do not publish subscriber information. Campaign open analytics, e-commerce tracking and Google Analytics tracking are disabled. MailerLite’s standard signup confirmation can contain an open beacon and tracked link redirects; the provider processes that activity to deliver and confirm signup. We do not use it to build interest profiles. No welcome sequence or promotional campaign is running.
Unsubscribe and retention
Every update includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing sends. To leave the list before any update is sent, email an unsubscribe request. Unconfirmed signup records are removed after 30 days. Subscribers are reviewed after 12 months and records without a continuing purpose are removed. Minimum no-send records may remain while needed to honor your preference; they are reviewed annually. An export or data restore does not re-enroll you.
You can request access or deletion. We aim to acknowledge requests within seven days and initiate action within 30 days. MailerLite's erasure process can take a further 30 days. Technical provider backups may take longer. Subscriber exports are restricted to a specific administration task and deleted within seven days.
Interest without email
The optional “I’m interested” button does not ask for email or subscribe you to updates. When available, it sends a random request ID to our Azure service. We save that ID and the day of the like to count interest and avoid counting retries twice. Your browser remembers the result so repeat clicks do not count again. Blocking browser storage does not prevent liking, but may limit repeat protection.
For abuse controls, our service stores a daily keyed hash of the network address for up to two days, without saving the raw address in the interest records. Shared networks and repeat visits mean likes are an interest signal, not verified unique people. Likes remain separate from email signups. You can request removal using your browser’s request ID; anonymous records cannot be looked up by email.
Your interest reference: . Include this reference in a removal request.
Approximate interest locations
When you click “I’m interested”, if location lookup is enabled, our Azure service sends the network IP address to MaxMind’s GeoLite City service to estimate where interest is coming from. We retain only approximate country, state or region, city, postal code and an accuracy radius when available, alongside the saved interest response. We do not retain the raw IP or latitude/longitude in our interest records, combine the response with your email, or request your browser’s GPS location. No lookup runs just from viewing the page.
This is approximate network location, not your verified address or identity. VPNs and mobile/shared networks can give a different city or postal code. Old responses, unavailable location fields, service failures and quota limits remain unknown; interest still saves when lookup fails. Only the owner and explicitly authorized marketing delegates can inspect the private aggregate location reports. Interest records, including approximate location when present, are reviewed at 12 months and removed when no longer needed. Removing a response using its interest reference also removes its attached location; provider backups follow their own retention. MaxMind separately processes requests under its privacy policy.
This product includes GeoLite data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com.
